FAQs – About Pregnancy and Abortion
These are answers to some patient frequently asked questions.
What if I drank alcohol and used drugs before I knew I was pregnant?
After conception, it takes the new life two weeks to implant into the uterus where it attaches and begins to get nourishment from the mother’s body to grow. So, if you partied hard during that time, the zygote (fertilized egg) is not affected. However, this topic is covered in more detail in our Blog post Pregnancy, Drugs and Alcohol on our Blog page in the top navigation bar.

What can I expect for my first pregnancy assessment appointment?
Your appointment will be no more than 1 hour. Our goal is to ensure you feel comfortable, respected, and supported through the process. You will meet with a Registered Nurse (RN), receive a FREE pregnancy test, and provide a short medical history to her. If your pregnancy test is positive, you will be offered an ultrasound exam to verify pregnancy viability – all with your permission. You can then discuss your pregnancy options with the nurse and get your questions answered. For more details see “First Appointment” under our Blog page in the top navigation bar.
May I bring my boyfriend, partner, or husband to the pregnancy assessment? How about a friend or family member?
Yes, we welcome your significant other or a friend or family member to your pregnancy assessment appointment as support for you. Some men attend the appointments, and we have some positive reviews from men on our Google Business page and Yelp page.
